It was a cape kinda day today. Its almost the end of autumn and winter is well and truly around the corner. Fortunately the sun is still quite warm most of the time, however when its gone - its awfully cold! I've made quite the collection of capes over the last few months and its finally gotten cold enough so I can wear them! This one was from ebay for a crazy $22 including shipping from the UK - crazy I know! But hey ... I'm not complaining. Even though I love the cooler months, I really do hope the sun does stay out to play for a wee bit longer. Its my birthday in a couple of weeks time and I'm thinking of inviting some friends out to Centennial Park for a nice picnic / weather permitting.... I guess only time will tell.

nevaeh turns one
A little while back we got together with a fabulous couple to share in the celebrations of their little ones 1st birthday. Nevaeh Winter turned one a few months back, and I had totally forgotten to share these photos with you. The celebrations were held at our friends cafe, decked out with pink, purple and white pompoms, as well as a candy bar to feed a few hundred people.
Its interesting how things change so quickly - or perhaps not quickly at all. One minutes we are all sitting our end of school exams, the next we are moving out of home and getting married. In the blink of an eye (or so it seems), we turn from kids to wives to parents. Its crazy, but at the same time very exciting. Jason & Shahde are some of a few of our close friends to become parents within the last few years. I've really loved having babies (and now toddlers) join in our group of friends.
Nevaeh is a total darling. More and more of her personality is showing each time we see her, those little legs are getting faster and faster, and that cheeky smile makes anyones frown turn upside down. Hopefully it wont be too long before Scott and I can have a little one of our own.
