Just a few photos from our latest "date-night" adventure. We ended up at a divine little place right on the waters edge, suitably named Pier. The ambience was very "posh" and at times we didn't feel like we fitted in much, all the people sitting around us seemed as if they were doctors and lawyers from upper class suburbs. But that didn't stop us from having a fab night, and I'm sure we'll be back there again soon. Where was your last night night at?

date night
(dress: dotti, shoes: rubi, bag: forever new, shawl: equip, necklace: thailand)
I absolutely love date night! Especially when its Scott's choice to choose a restaurant because he always chooses the nicest places! These photos are from a few date nights back.... Scott took me to this gorgeous place in Balmain . It had really high reviews on Eatability, and so the food was as expected - just divine!
I've had this dress for a while and havent worn it much since I bought it... so I thought I should get some more wear out of it while it still fits! The scarf/shawl made its first appearance out of my closet on this date night. Scott bought it for me recently - we were out window shopping one day and it caught my eye (florals do that to me).... but being the thrift-er that I am, I couldn't justify spending $20 on a piece of thin floral fabric. As beautiful as it was, I just couldn't do it. I put the scarf back on the rack and before I knew it, Scott had taken it to the register, and bought it for me. What a darling.

birthday bunny
I wore this outfit to a first birthday just a few weeks back. I scored this dress at a local thrift store for only $4. I couldn't wait for an opportunity to wear it. It's a bit on the short side, so tights were a must. I've found myself gravitating towards florals of late... I just can't seem to help it! What are you gravitating to this season?

halloween disco
So what did you dress up as this Halloween? While we don't celebrate Halloween as much here in Australia as in the States, I still had the opportunity to dress up! The school I work at held a Halloween disco for the kids last Friday night and I just couldn't contain my excitement. I love dressing up - its such a creative outlet!
I decided to dress up as a Zombie.... I found this to be the easiest costume to make (just wore some black skinny jeans, and destroyed a white tee by putting some holes in it and red paint on it to look like blood). I found a great tutorial on YouTube for my Zombie make-up, it was really easy to follow and took me no more than 5 minutes to do. Scary much?

fifa night
One of our close friends, Jason (below right) celebrated his 26th birthday last month by hosting a Fifa night. Hours upon hours of watching our boys play on the play-station, follower by pizza, cake and then more play-station. I have no idea who won, nor do I care in the slightest. Watching sport for me is like watching grass grow, and its even worse watching a video game... but the boys sure do offer some great entertainment. They take it all far too seriously, and its quite the show watching them get all psyched up, ecstatic with joy or gravely disappointed all over a video game.
