giveaway winner

I've never been particularly happy with selecting the winner of my giveaways through random.com. Not that its not a good way to select a winner at random, but because of how ..... well... boring it is. So I was kinda excited that I didnt have too many people enter my most current giveaway as it gave me the opportunity to try something a little different - and way more fun.

Congratulations Aliya! I'll be contacting you shortly to get your details.
Thanks to everyone who entered.
Malta giveaway coming soon.

grocery shopping

(dress: cotton on, jacket: thrifted, wedges: k-mart)

This is what I wore grocery shopping this evening. I'm usually quite the daggy dresser when it comes to doing the grocery shopping (e.g. leggings, flip-flops, oversized tee) and I really hate it. So today I decided "No more daggy shopping!", and it felt so good going out knowing I looked half decent.

Did anyone notice --- naked legs!! Woohoo... Spring is well and truly here! So looking forward to hot summer days, cool breezes, getting a tan (I can't believe only a month after comming home from the European summer I am back to white - blah!)

Anyways I am on school holidays at the moment and I've got lots of things on my to-do list. I dont want to waste these two weeks by doing nothing (as much as I would like to) because I know when I get back to work it will hit me like a ton of bricks. If I organise myself well enough to do just a little bit of work every other day I think I will enter the forth school term feeling less stressed than I otherwise would have - and that is always a good thing!

I've been having a bit of a problem with blogger on and off for the past week, and would love if someone would help me out. On some peoples blogs, I'm having trouble leaving a comments - you see, I type my message and select my profile (Google account) and then it says that my account does not have access to that page -  what the?!!! I dont want my blogger friends to think I am being a selfish cow and not commenting when in reality I've been trying for over a week and Blogger is being poo. Help anyone.

Only two days left to enter my Greece giveaway - get to it if you haven't already.

here kitty kitty

Don't know about you, but 60 years from now.... I see myself living with a dozen cats. Yes... I will be the crazy old cat lady. And it wont start when I retire.... it starts now... with my little obsession with all felines, which I adore more than any other animal in the world.

So of course I took about a bazillion photos of all the street cats around Greece and Malta, while on holidays last month. I narrowed down my collection of photos to the best 16. Enjoy. x

Dont forget to enter my "Greece" giveaway - ends in just a few days.

polka dots

Im so missing the summer weather! Greece and Malta were so beautiful and hot, I just can't wait till Sydney catches up. Although I can't really complain, its been realy nice Spring weather since we got home just over one week ago.

I was looking forward to doing an outfit post today but yesterday I developed a cold-sore so that was out of the question! I haven't had a cold-sore in years so I'm really bumed about it - oh well... not much I can do about it now, except of course to lather it in Zovirax in the hope it will die asap.

These photos are from Greece, one day when Scott, my parents and I went for a drive around the island. It was a carefree day, we just drove wherever the road took us. I'm so looking forward to summer in Sydney when we can drive around with our windows down and our sunnies on.... What are you most looking forward to?

back to work

(shoes, bag and top: thrifted, skirt: factorie, bangles: markets)

So I am finally back at work after one month holiday-ing and three days recovering from my holiday! I went back to work yesterday and it was just so nice to see all of the staff, and especially my students. They are so precious - they had made me a ton of "Welcome Back" cards and posters - it was quite overwealming. Most people proberbly wouldnt look forward to going back to work - but I am the total opposite (strange I know!). I love the people I work with and I have a wonderful class of kids. In saying that though, I am also thrilled that it is Friday afternoon and I get to sleep in for the next few days - sleeping is one of my favourite things to do!

These photos were taken a few weeks back when we were still in Greece. I love how in the villages, all the houses are so unique - everywhere you look is a mix-match of different sized homes all stuck next to one and another (and also on top of one another), with stairways and cute windows - it just a magical place to explore.
